Weekly volunteer session
Book
Our regular two-hour volunteer sessions are a great way to get started working with, and learning from, our team on the farm.
By signing up to join us for these sessions you'll be involved in the day-to-day work which includes undertaking a range of jobs from weeding, seed-raising, planting, watering, mulching, compost-turning, repairs and organisation, among others. The jobs involved will vary from week to week - please note we cannot guarantee particular tasks on any given day. If you do not see a date listed, we have reached capacity for that session.
Children are welcome, however must be accompanied and supervised by their parents or guardian. Volunteers with disability are also invited to join us - if a carer is needed please ensure that they attend with you. Advise us in the notes below of special needs and we will do our best to find an activity that is suitable.
By registering below your place is confirmed in the volunteer session for the date chosen. You will receive an email confirmation with details of the session plus a link to change or cancel the session if your plans change and you cannot come. These sessions book out well in advance so please make sure you release your place for someone else if you cannot make it on the day.
Please BYO hat and water bottle, and own gloves if desired. Wear sturdy flat enclosed shoes. We really value the time spent on the farm by volunteers and look forward to seeing you on the farm soon!
Coronavirus changes: Due to current circumstances we are restarting our Thursday morning sessions only for now, with a start date for Saturday mornings still to be determined. Numbers are capped so that we have space for maintaining physical distancing on the farm.
To take care of yourself and others, consider wearing a mask. Volunteers will be asked to read and agree to our Covid-19 policy and procedures before starting work on the farm. Overall we want to maintain the opportunity for you to enjoy a morning on the farm and the many benefits that come with it, while ensuring everyone can stay safe. Thanks for your help in this.
Covid-safe information

Alongside our work health and safety procedures, our COVID-19 plan ensures we keep our guests and staff safe and compliant with government requirements at all times.
Our COVID-19 plan safety measures to reduce transmission risk including, but not limited to:

- Practicing social distancing;
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with local guidelines;
- Encouraging regular, thorough hand washing;
