Quay Quarter Lanes Markets

The 40-stall market will connect Sydney’s best producers, farmers, bakers, makers, cooks, picklers, roasters, growers and gourmet retailers with city workers and urban dwellers once a month in an activation that will bring the laneways of Quay Quarter, on Loftus Lane, to life.

The market is a new event from Cambridge Markets Sydney in collaboration with Quay Quarter Lanes and City of Sydney.

It will feature local retailers including Zini Gelato, Adora Chocolates and Bubble Nini Teas, who are supporting the activation of the precinct. The market will also showcase the very best of Cambridge Markets’ retinue of food stallholders, from Prickle Hill Farms, Brickfields, Berliner Bakery, Stephen Hodges Fish, Savannah Estate Winery, Brother Mountain Macadamias, Rita’s Organic Farms, Noble Organics meats, West Walla organic eggs, Le Saucier pasta sauces and Bacca cured meats. There will also be coffee and pastry from the bakery of CBD restaurant, Grana, which neighbours Quay Quarter Lanes. Adding to the mix will be extreme tacos from Jeerys and sweet treats from Thicc Cookies.

Quay Quarter Lanes Markets will take place on the second Wednesday of the month, from 8am-2pm.

In addition to the fabulous array of producers and farmers, the market will also bring live music and entertainment to the space.

Shoppers should expect a diverse array of produce, from fresh fruit and vegetables, organics, gourmet breads, olives, olive oil, fresh pasta and pasta sauce, fish, meat, cheese, pastry, cakes, gelato, honey, small goods, cured products, spices and coffee. There will also be fresh flowers

The market will occupy a choice position in front of Customs House and will activate part of Quay Quarter Lanes, the beautiful street-level mixed-use space for the spectacular Quay Quarter complex on Loftus Lane.

The space is filled with lovely lanes interwoven with heritage buildings that coexist with Quay Quarter’s stunning, recently opened high-rise building.

Restaurateur Scott Brown, from House Made Hospitality, which operates Grana in heritage Hinchliff House — which adjoins Quay Quarter Lanes — said he was looking forward to taking Grana’s treats to the streets as a part of the activation.
