Powerhouse Late: Sydney Design Week

Powerhouse Late x Sydney Design Week Opening Night is an inclusive industry event featuring music from DJ Charlie Villas as well as award and residency announcements.

Featuring designer talks with Emma Elizabeth, a spotlight talk with Curious Practice and the launch of Penny Craswell’s book, Reclaimed: New homes from old materials.

6pm – 7pm: Welcome

Emma Elizabeth, the curator of New Australian Design, will host floor talks with the designers featured in the exhibition about their new works.

6.30pm: Talks

Curious Practice details the story behind the annual Powerhouse Architecture Commission, Cadeau. The architects discuss the unique opportunity to transform a public space and learn how the de-install of the immersive, multi-functional pavilion will benefit an award-winning community engagement initiative.

7pm: Reclaimed: New homes from old materials.

Book launch and accompanying short talk by author Penny Craswell author of blog, The Design Writer and book, Design Lives Here: Australian Interiors, Furniture and Lighting.
