The Way Back is one of the government’s ‘Towards Zero Suicides’ initiatives within their strategic framework for suicide prevention, which aims to reduce the suicide rate in Australia by 20% by 2023. The service provides non-clinical support for individuals who have been discharged from hospital following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis.
