Learn to Knit a Temperature Blanket
Temperature blankets provide a record of the climate over a snapshot of time. Coloured yarns are used to represent certain temperature ranges, and your blanket can be knit in a variety of ways to represent the changes in the climate over time.
Join Mel from Three Cats Yarn in learning how to start knitting a mitred square temperature blanket. In this session, Mel will guide you through choosing your yarn and colours, finding the data you need, planning the size of your blanket and estimating the amount of yarn you'll need for the project.
This class is suitable for beginner knitters, and intermediate knitters who want to better learn about estimating for projects.
Light refreshments, and snacks will be provided, as well as needles and some yarn to help get you started with your sample square.
