Finger knitting workshop

Suggested age: 8 to 11 years. In these crafty 1.5 hour school holiday workshops, you’ll learn how to turn your old t-shirts into fabric fashion accessories like bracelets, headbands and necklaces. The teachers from Sew Make Create will show you how to first make the t-shirt yarn, then how to finger knit the yarn into fun fashion accessories. Bring along any old t-shirt to make into yarn – no matter the size and colour, or whether it’s stained or holey. Parents or guardians must sign in for the attendees, stay in the library for the duration of the activity and collect the attendees at the end of the session.
