The How Not to Die book explains the science and details behind the recommended diet. The How Not to Die Cookbook provides a short summary of the recommended diet and is filled with recipes of plant-based and wholesome food.
At Novo Globo we're a big fan of Dr Greger's work and most of the food we cook is based on his theory and recipes.
Dr Greger wrote two more books focusing on weight loss, How Not to Diet and How Not to Diet Cookbook. We recommend starting with the other two first. If you enjoy the recipes, consider getting the How Not to Diet Cookbook. Of the four, How Not to Diet is the only one we didn't read to the end. This is because we found that all important information is nicely summarised in How Not to Diet Cookbook and we were not so interested in the theory behind it.
Dr Greger also runs NutritionFacts.org, a science-based nonprofit organisation that provides free updates on the latest in nutrition research.
